Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls (5 count)
  • 4 large apples (2 Honeycrisp, 2 Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolved in 3 tbsp water)
  • 5 tbsp butter (partially melted) for streusel
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for streusel
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar for streusel
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon for streusel
  • 1/4 cup melted butter for icing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tbsp milk for icing
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla for icing
  • 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon (based on your preference for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Grease a muffin tin with softened butter.
  2. Peel and slice the apples into small pieces. Combine them with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, melted butter, and cornstarch in a bowl. Heat until thickened (about 2 minutes in the microwave).
  3. Press each cinnamon roll into the greased muffin cups and fill them with the apple mixture using a slotted spoon.
  4. To make the streusel topping, mix all ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over each roll.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes, covering loosely with foil for the first five minutes.
  6. Prepare icing by whisking all ingredients together until smooth.
  7. Allow rolls to cool slightly before drizzling with icing.
