  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract (for icing)
  • 1½ tbsp. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, sugar, sour cream, and egg until creamy. Fold in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling before icing.
  5. For the icing: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until browned. Pour into a bowl and whisk with powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
