  • 1 cup water plus 1 tablespoon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet (13×18) with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of water with lemon juice.
  3. Chop the apples into cubes and soak them in the lemon water to prevent browning.
  4. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  5. Spread melted chocolate evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Press pretzels into the chocolate layer.
  7. Drain and pat dry apples; place them on paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  8. Melt caramels with 1 teaspoon of water until smooth.
  9. Pour melted caramel over pretzel layer and add apple cubes on top.
  10. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate over apples.
  11. Refrigerate until set for several hours before cutting into pieces.
