  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 6 oz of chopped chocolate and butter in intervals until smooth. Cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until smooth.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Chill the dough for at least a few hours before shaping.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Divide dough into 12 portions, flatten each portion around a chocolate chunk to seal.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
