  • 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, spraying it lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Allow it to cool slightly before mixing in the egg, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Stir in the flour and salt until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20 to 24 minutes or until set.
  5. For the frosting, beat softened cream cheese and butter together with confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy.
