  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup (113g) butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare two 9×5-inch loaf pans with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in one egg and vanilla extract, followed by flour.
  3. In another bowl, mash the bananas and combine with melted butter and sugars. Stir in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
  4. Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder) in a separate bowl, then mix into the wet banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Layer half of the batter in each loaf pan, add the cream cheese mixture on top, then finish with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
