  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the banana batter into the pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then spread cream cheese filling over it. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean (a little cream cheese is fine).
  8. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
