  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half & half
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (for rice)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (for rice)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sear until golden brown on both sides (6-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic and diced onion until translucent (2-3 minutes). Add heavy cream and chicken broth; stir to combine. Mix in dried herbs and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  3. Cook basmati rice in boiling chicken broth with salt and pepper for about 15 minutes.
  4. Return seared chicken to the skillet with the sauce; simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve over basmati rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
