  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four thinner pieces. Season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat each piece in flour.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, combine olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Once hot, sear chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and add sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until mushrooms release their moisture.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for one additional minute before adding white apple vinegar. Let it bubble for 2-3 minutes until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly.
