Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 8 slices white bread
  • 2-3 ounces chive and onion cream cheese (softened)
  • Fresh dill (optional)
  • Flake sea salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the English cucumber as thinly as possible using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer.
  2. Arrange the cucumber slices on paper towels, sprinkle with flake sea salt and pepper, and let them rest for about 5 minutes to draw out moisture.
  3. Spread softened chive and onion cream cheese evenly on one side of four slices of bread.
  4. Layer the cucumber slices over the cream cheese, overlapping slightly for presentation. Season with additional salt, pepper, and fresh dill if desired.
  5. Top with the remaining four slices of bread, trim off crusts, and cut each sandwich into squares or triangles before serving.
