  • Everything but the bagel seasoning (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead for about five minutes until dough is smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for one hour or until doubled.
  4. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 pieces. Shape each piece into a rope and twist into pretzel shapes.
  5. Preheat oven to 450°F. Boil water with baking soda; dip each pretzel for 15-30 seconds before placing on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush pretzels with egg wash and sprinkle with toppings.
  7. Bake for 10-11 minutes until golden brown.
