  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • For frosting: 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp culinary lavender
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp culinary lavender
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • purple food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and Earl Grey tea.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla bean paste.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for about 9 minutes until edges are golden; let cool on racks.
  7. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and culinary lavender.
