  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mash bananas with brown sugar until smooth; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually fold into the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the mashed banana mixture.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes (reduce to 325°F for an additional 15-20 minutes) until a cake tester comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
