  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup whole pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, blend melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Mix in eggs, sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix chopped pecans with brown sugar and melted butter for the topping.
  7. Divide batter evenly into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  8. Spoon the topping over each muffin and press one whole pecan half on top.
