Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:
3 pounds chicken drumsticks
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 packet sazon seasoning
2 tablespoons sofrito (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  • Add the garlic powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, sazon seasoning, and sofrito (if using).
  • Mix well, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated with the seasoning. For deeper flavor, let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is golden and slightly crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
