  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp each: salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (halal)
  • ¼ tsp each: dried thyme, rosemary

Instructions

  1. Season the cubed sirloin tips with flour and spices.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; brown the beef in batches.
  3. Remove beef and sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
  4. Add beef broth, bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, and remaining spices; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet; let simmer for another 20–25 minutes.
  6. Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken gravy; cook until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Allow resting for 5 minutes before serving.
